Modern family house nestled on a south-facing mountain slope, designed as two barn-like volumes that appear separate from the outside but are seamlessly connected through an open interior layout. Every point within the house offers a sense of connection to the shared space, creating a fluid and engaging living experience. The design pays homage to the traditional German house that once stood on the site, blending old and new through spaces that act as a gallery for this dialogue. Constructed with raw materials—architectural concrete, wood, metal, and glass—the house combines modernity with a respectful nod to its historical roots.
A recreational house located on the small island of Karpathos, Greece, designed to harmonize indoor and outdoor living. The project reimagines the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, overcoming the challenge of a limited allowable built-up area. The house is composed of simple, distinct volumes, each serving a specific function, seamlessly connected by stone walls that integrate with the natural landscape. This approach creates a cohesive and functional home while blending architecture with the island’s unique environment.
Status: Last phase of constuctions, expected to be ready by March 2025
Located in the heart of Jelenia Góra, Poland, this renovation project involved the meticulous transformation of an aging, functional building into a state-of-the-art private clinic and diagnostic center. The challenge was to preserve the building’s historical charm while seamlessly integrating modern medical facilities. Navigating through unexpected structural complexities, we delivered a fresh, contemporary look that enhances both functionality and patient experience. The project blends innovative design elements with advanced technology, creating a welcoming and efficient environment for medical care, all while honoring the clinic’s legacy.
The design draws inspiration from Turku’s coastal heritage, where the building’s structure appears to float over the water, reminiscent of a ship gliding on the sea. Inspired by the Haapio, the mother of all Finnish boats, the design connects the historic city center with new developments. The building is divided into two parts: the base houses restaurants, cafes, and event spaces, while the museum sits above, offering flexible exhibition spaces. Water features cool the building and create a dynamic environment. The museum’s modular structure allows seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering connection with the surrounding landscape.
This community project in Beirut, created as a Master’s degree graduation project, draws inspiration from the urban journey of the neighborhood’s residents, reflecting the city’s ongoing transformation. Located on a former steel deposit that once served as an industrial hub, the project symbolizes the shift from a manufacturing zone to a dynamic residential area. The design aims to bridge the gaps in essential services, providing spaces that cater to the community’s needs. By reimagining the area’s industrial past, the project not only revitalizes the site but also reconnects the neighborhood with key functions that are missing, creating a cohesive space that serves both the present and future of the community.
